Default Renault Clio 1.8 16v

Your views kids??

I been looking at getting something sensible, reliable and nippy for appx 2-2.5k

They look small enough to throw around and has a 139BHP 1.8 16v lump. Must be good for a bit of grunt.

I've completely fallen out with the MK4 escorts now and I realy dont want another turbo just yet (sorry rudey, PM on its way).

Well, what else can you guys think of? Apart from a VTR/S???

ok there mate, just sold mine, had it about 7 years, was sad to see it go,but you have to move on to bigger and better things, there handling is almost in a class of its own for a fwd car,had been lowered and had koni's(went on silverstone in mine trax 2000 and the only car to give me a good go through the bends in fact all the way round was an integra type r,there were faster cars on the straights but i could keep a good speed through the corners so left other cars easily) i got a 15.3 1/4 mile at santa pod with exhaust,de-cat and filter only, although 6 of 7 runs were 16.1's,they are great fun cars to drive on the twisty's and had an indicated 139mph all the time on the motorway, have to keep them revved though, kick in around 5k-5.5k,happy to be revved,137bhp standard, mine was about 160bhp-200bhp with the nos very nice interior, bigger than you'd think inside, feel free to ask anymore questions, gearbox is shite,i had 5 of them, all i can say is go and buy one, you'll love it,205gti funfactor but quicker and more modern, look on www.cliosport.net for as much info as you could imagine

I have been thinking now and for like a grand I can get a nice, clean 205 GTi. Hopefully a 1.9.

How much quicker are they with the MI16 in them??
