The adventure begins

A mate of mine Tim, purchases a trike and we decide to have a blast on it on the beach.

So, off we go with the flat bed transit and this trike firmly stapped to the back.

We are having a great time, taking it in turns, going up and down the sand dunes, and falling off, and generally having lots of fun.

So tims says to me, "go on, go for a ride on it to the sea, and ill wait here and have a ciggy"

SO, off i go into the distance and get to the sea.....



look round and im miles away.





I think, oh shit, he ll be a bit worried, and i spin off to get back to the sand dunes, when i give a load of throttle while turning and this happens
luckily i used my cat like reflexes to superman jump off it before it killed me...lol


i get it back on 3 wheels, and off i go.....
it seems like aaaaages when i get back, and its tims turn to go ride it...
i get on the back and off we go

then all of a sudden it starts doing a wheelie.... and the back wheel falls off

picture for dramatic effect, no one was killed


now look how bastard far away we are with only 2 wheels.....which doesnt sound too bad, but we should have 3....


so now we have a dilema...

we strap the wheel on, and sort of balance it while trying to steer and very slowly driving it.....fooking very hard work, and after 1 and 1/2 HOURS we finally get it back to the transit



then tim notices that the spider that was on the bike at the lockup was STILL on the bike....he must have had a fooking great time

lmao


fooking brilliant fun....definately doing it again,...he has a crosser that needs a bit of work, but thats next weekends adventure... and we ll go out on both when they re both fixed

looks like a good day was had then apart from the 1 1/2 hour tip back to the van which prob would of taken 15mins if you had all your wheels on

 

yup..was amazing fun, and we giggle all the way back to the van....it was so funny...

one of the driveshafts had snapped, and wgen we had a closer look, someone had welded it from a different time it had snapped, but it didnt hold out

My mate had one of these funny as fook but it broke down everytime we used it

 

feckin dangerous things atc,s nearly killed myself on one when i was 14 your not even allowed to advertise them for sale in the uk


quads are another story though

a young lad neer me has 1 with car steel wheels & a bed pillow for a seat

i used to have a 250R a few years back, what a laugh but pretty dangerous tho

 

they were banned years ago , sure it was the DTI that banned them being offered for sale

great fun till you fall off though

it was fun,..it was the best fun ive had in ages....
i am now the owner of the crosser tim has/had,...

so, after it gets a resto, and a few trick bits, ill be back on the beach falling off

plenty of them for sale in our local scot ads, mate bought a 250r for a laugh a year or so back,nearly broke my leg kickstarting the fucking thing

i came off one years ago aswell up at knockhill and never wanted to go on them again

 

That does look like FUN, not the breaking down bit though.

not on this, but after i ve got a bit braver on the 125 (ive never riden a bike before this) give it a few months, and its gonna get a astra diesel gt17 on it
