Gettin to the end of my tether with my runabout Fiesta now

1.3 Endura MK4 Fiesta.

Had all misfiring symptoms, changed plugs, leads, MAF sensor, Lambda sensor, everything, yet still the car intermittantly lacks power like hell...i.e itll rev to 20mph in 2nd and feel really held back and then rev to 30 in 3rd and feels held back wont rev any higher etc.

I've got a new engine waiting to go in as I think thats going to be the cheapest & easiest way to get it sorted now, but final thoughts for today - does it sound like a blockage in the fuel system somewhere? In that sometimes it'll drive perfectly, then other times it won't (cuts out occassionally at idle and sometimes stutters before it'll rev clean at idle as well...)

Volt drop the fuel pump and find out

 

fuel pressure? blocked exhaust?doubt its wiring never had issues on them but worth checking i guess first time for everything!

 

Sounds like the cat may be breaking up,big bits blocking the exhaust

intermittently.

Have seen this happen quite a few times on fords.
