Default My FRS update

Where shall i start, this is a bit of a long story.

When i bought my FRS it had bluefin already installed so i thought great one thing i wont need in the future plans ....... wrong. I soon found out once it had been on the rolling road at APT that it was running massively rich (0.68 lambda at 4000 rpm and possibly lower due to it being off the scale). The bluefin i have is a very early handset (december 02 i believe) and im convinced that its this causing it to run excessivly rich. So i set about sorting it out, it was also noted that the boost was unstable aswell so i tried the bleed valve like alot of other FRS owners are using. I didnt like the peak and drop in boost i found with it and the fact that it makes the car hard to drive on half or 3/4 throttle with the turbo coming on full boost even tho its not at full throttle.

I ordered a forge actuator with advice from a guy called john who owns a FRS himself and used to work at garrett (so he knows his stuff and a big thank you John ) so with this spec the actuator was received from forge and fitted, it seem to be more stable but i still wasn't happy with it on the bleed valve or the fact that the fueling on full throttle was still very rich on the rolling road at APT.

At this point Gary at APT was looking into becoming a Dreamscience dealer and I like the sound of trying the DS over the bluefin so he had in a DS unit and my car for a few days to see what advantage DS could be.

After trying the stratagem maps and tweeking them on the rolling road rather than writting a whole new map we found that the fueling had improved but still on the safe side of rich and using the standard ford amal/boost control the boost is much more stable and progressive and doesnt give a surge of boost that it did.

The end result was 260.5bhp (220bhp @ the wheels) and 285lbft and with only a 18psi peak and a 15 psi held to the rev limit . The car feels great to drive and very progressive on the throttle and on boost so a thanks to Gary, Christian and Chris at APT and anyone who wants dreamscience in the Norfolk area speak to APT (www.ap-tuning.co.uk)

Heres the graphs, what do you guys think? :

I think PE over read more than that dude they read about 5bhp short of EA so I reckon you would make 295 @ PE 300 @ EA

Does Christian the guy with the white escort work for them before I PM for prices from somewhere he doesnt work If John can work out which actuator is suitable I might get them to fit and setup as think there closer than Rob
