Default HELP- Cosworth ISCV wire colour ???? NOW SORTED

Just took the connector off to fit another one, went inside, came back out and forgot which wire goes which side

Looking down on the ISCV from the front of the car as fitted into the car, does the red/black wire go on the left or the right side of the ISCV

help much appreciated

cheers

PAUL

can anyone put my mind at rest before I connect it up.

All you need to do is pull up the rubber from the connector and confirm what colour wire is on the left hand side

please please please

Well I just connected it all back up as per frogs description and she is running sweetly again from cold - the original connector felt loose and I thought that may the problem, and it appears to have been the case

POLARITY DOES MATTER.

On 4x4 and retro fitted idle valves, they have a voltage protection diode
within the valve and if you wire it backwards it will NOT work.
(If wrong, it will effectivly short out and eventually damage the ECU)
Some valves do have a + mark on them but not all.

If it does not work, try reversing the polarity but only make a short duration
test time to prevent ECU damage !
