help! engine is out of car

Default help! engine is out of car

my rs turbo engine is out due 2 the bottom end needs changing,

can i use a xr3i bottom end? if so wat else do i need to do, sumthin about the oil return pipe?

might put zetec bottom end in as well, but garage said i wud need a uprated gasket costing around 140 quid, cudnt i jus use the normal gasket if i went zetec? cuz the garage is sayin it will burn up/fcuk up after few miles???

need sum answers as soon as ya can, cuz my rs turbo is engine less, just big gap were the engine shud b

You cant use either of them botom ends without modifying both buy changing pistons,making an oil return and outlet for the turbo ect.. the zetec will also need adaptor plates for the likes of the water pump ect.. it would be easyer just to rebuild you one if you can.

just get another rs turbo bottom end mate for just now and collect these parts for a zvh or full zetec turbo for a zetec bottom end you will need a escort zetec sump with the oil return fabricated onto the front a 1.8 zetec bottom end with a decompression plate to lower the compression for turbocharging or if you have cash you can buy low comp pistons but if thats the case go for a 2.0 bottom end instead of the 1.8 you can still use your own engine management for the zvh but for a full zetec turbo engine i would recommend the megasquirt ecu setup but that all depends on how far you wish to go
