think of a escort cossie's...big turbo and small turbo....you'd have the big turbo every time ...that the difference between ofab and ofac...ofab came first,ofac was ford being tight and sensible

ofac didnt know the difference when i bought it ..but i so wish it was ofab

cool...something to think about...did have all the ofab parts but sold them to a mate to convert his s2 to efi

The OFAC ecu is actually the better ecu from what I've managed to deduce. The boost limit only becomes an issue for OFAC when going for boost higher than the 2.5 bar absolute the sensor can handle (and this is only a problem because most tuners don't know how to alter the OFAC code to suit a higher reading map sensor).

It's not easy to get it over 1 bar of boost that's why most only go to 15psi

15psi is over 1 bar though as 1 bar is 14.5psi

Pretty sure MSD's Stu said it was a software issue rather than a hardware issue and they had cracked it.
