Default What to treat decking with???

Hi all,

Got some new decking built and want to treat it to stop it rotting etc, what should i use, dont' want to stain it another colour, just something clearish.

Any tipps

You can get wood oil mate.You can get it from any focus/B&Q just ask them what you want it for etc. All you do is brush it on and its soaks in. I would give it 2 coats. Will change the colour very slightly but its the best your going to get tbh.

i used ronseal decking oil natural so it didnt change the colour and works well

ronseal natural decking oil. it does exactly as it says on the tin.

I take it it needs to be bone dry, any pretreatment??

or do like my neighbour does,let his 2 dogs shit and piss all over it.it gives it a lovely colour but a dodgy smell

I had some trouble today at B&Q...i approached a employee and asked him about building a patio,he replied 'do you want decking' so i knocked him out before he got a punch in.
