Galagher WRC focus car on track?

I heard it was storming...!!!

What a serious piece of kit and every credit to Andrew for the build.

 

it was truley erm..... FAST

seemed to be toying with all the other cars ,slowing down for half a lap, then catching them up by the end of the same lap

 

Yeah I did....

Was one of the reasons why I went to the show

 

It was one of the few reasons I wanted to go to the show and was miffed when I wasnt able to.

Wanted to see this baby rock.

Some were saying it was busting a race prepared RS200

I saw it on the M6 on the way home

Superb car & credit to all involved

 

It will be at national day on track for those who missed it

Only Wills RS200 was on track... and of course the Focus was ALOT faster than that! Wills is a 20year road legal fossil on road tyres...

Not a brand new semi spaceframe racecar on slicks!!! Even my Shonky Sierra pisses away from the RS200!

Focus does go well, was EASILY the quickest car out there But it didn't exactly blow my mind how fast it was though. BUT I know its a newly built car that will be developed and get alot faster

was speaking to someone yesterday said they seen a white focus on a trailer on way there getting towed by a transit at 105mph

I thought it looked VERY quick, Porkies car isn't bloody slow but it seemed to be passing with ease

it was an absolute animal i watched it from the pit wall straight just seemed to push the rest back half a mile all credit to andy ont hat car!!!

 

that van dosent go under 100

 

Dynod at 605bhp at 2bar but she finds it hard to hit that boost on track.... the shonky 5 speed syncro box means it spends most of its time off boost or surging its tits off! it won't pull more than 1.5bar in 2nd or 3rd gear either! couple that with the cronic understeer problem it has on road tyres through the slow corners and you will see why the only time we could have any fun together was the fast corners over the back

Will be on slicks for ND! wish I had known you could get away with slicks at FordFair!!!!

 

Don't forget my 64 year old uncle was driving the Sierra and Skyline most of the day! I only had 2 sessions

 

Got a proper sound system in it as well hasn't it? well sounded loud from where I was!

 

yeah i saw it wasn't you in one session thats why i tried to leave him to have a drive round.
seamed like it was perfomin around the 500hp mark was still going not too bad for a old 3 door

 

lol did that same van take a pink escort cos ford fair last year?
if so no shit it doesnt go under 100 it flew past me on the way there last year i tried following it for a bit but he was in to much of a hurry

 

Amazing car but one thing I question when I see all these cars roll out, why do they not use modern engines like the duratec etc? Is it just a case of stick with what you know, the YB, tried and tested etc?

 

Try n get 650 bhp out of a duratec & make it reliable for the saloon car championships ect

I was on track when AG and Porkie and Will's RS200 was on.. all absoluty fucked past me was my first time on track thou I must have been a right nuisance to you guys

looked a little close to the tyre when i looked at your
car on sunday.

 

you have many fans out there

 

happened the first time it was out due to the ball joint not being tightened(wheel came back). too much of a rush for the first event

 

You dont have much luck with ball joints do you (remember your blue one)
