Default 4x4 Cossie propshaft doughnut info for you!

I ordered one for my car at Ford the other day at a cost of £58 +vat, there are 2 different types, so i was rather glad when i recieved the right one as the other one is alot more expensive i believe. My car is a late spec. saph for reference.
Anyway here it is, with finis code should you wish to order one for your car:

skany old one

I hope this is of use to some of you as several people told me this part was also discontinued
I also pcked up a set of ten 071 plugs aswell.

That looks different to the doughnut on my car as mine looks a lot thicker, I had to purchase complete prop shaft to replace the doughnut on my car, mine is a 1990 model, I had the part above but backed it

rog

your saf has a escos gearbox mate, only escos gearboxes use that doughnut

the original saf gearboxes still use the big wide rubber ones which are not available anymore

best thing to do is you want to use the thinner doughnut is but the rear out put shaft for a escos and studs and get it fitted to your box

Not true! Late Sapphires (mostly K platers) had the thinner type joint...

true, the change was on the very late J plates & all K plates (unless registered late) i think the micro-cat lists the change at about June 1992.

and if you change thin for thick you need to get an adaptor made so the prop still spigots with the box or it will come in beside you
