Default wots wrong with my car this week....

yesterday it was by birthday and i decided to go and see my mum 30 miles away in my saff, got there no problem car ran like a dream, went for lunch and got back in car......

after starting the car and driving off it stalled and did not want to start again, just turning over time and time again then eventually it started again with a big plume of black smoke out the back so i carried on driving and in coughed and splutterd and kept stalling all the way home... eventually my m8 had to come and tow me!

WTF is wrong with it???
