i'm sure there are some places you could see some of the racing from, but i reckon it's well worth paying for imo.

the racing was excellent yesterday, but the thing that really impressed me was some of the stuff they were doing with helicopters!
absolutely mental!

yeah, they're not too slow are they...

highest entry speed i saw was about 400 odd kph.. which is probably quite a lot when you're in a place about 20-30 feet above the thames...

Yea i saw that one, think it was that French bloke who had a differnt/faster plane. He always seemed to make a mistake though so perhaps that plane is just to fast or maybe its just cause he is French lol

Did you see the one take out the gate , it got stuck on his wing and he had to do some monevaurs to get it off .

yeah, one of the people i went with flies for a hobby and he seemed impressed... impressed enough to book a 2 grand aerobatics course when he got home!!

told him if he learns to fly like that i will under no circumstances get in a plane with him!

missed the guy doing the gate.. i was just on my way back in from the preposterously long queue at the cash machine.

got to admit, it generally seemed the higher the entry speed, the less control they had and the more penalties they got.

the guy in the red/white plane was the daddy imo.. although i think one of the americans won this round.

Yea the higher entry speed didnt help the times. Its holding the speed and flying neatly that gave the quick times.

Heres the results, Peter Besenyei actually put in the fastest time when he was flying for third/fourth postion in the knock outs.

01 Mike Mangold Cobra USA 6
02 Paul Bonhomme Matador GBR 5
03 Peter Besenyei Red Bull HUN 4
04 Alejandro Maclean Mediterranean Racing Team ESP 3
05 Kirby Chambliss Red Bull USA 2
06 Steve Jones Matador GBR 1
07 Nigel Lamb Breitling GBR 0
08 Frank Versteegh Lobo NED 0
09 Nicolas Ivanoff Mediterranean Racing Team FRA 0
10 Sergey Rakhmanin Dragon Racing RUS 0
11 Hannes Arch Cobra AUT 0

Well, was a quality day with decent weather too. Im a bit sun burnt

After getting a few beers in it was time for a burger.. We had qued for about 40 mins when all of a sudden a couple of planes were up in the air.. Couldnt leave the que with only another 10mins wait and having qued for that long it was a principle thing.. didnt realise it was the final.. missed it walked back over from munching the 5 quid burger, and people were leaving.. Oh well, we did see the helicopters how? proper good seeinmg that
