Do formula fords (the zetec ones) run Pectel T2 management?

If so is it locked?

Can it be un locked?

Yes they do.

Yes it is.

No they can't if you want to access the data inside to "play" with.

However, if you want to buy the ECU to use, then Pectel WILL unlock it, but they will wipe any data from the ECU. This is the same for ANY Pectel ECU that you do not have the password for. It can be accessed and wiped, but they will NOT allow you to view any maps that are not yours.

Also, you have to be aware that they charge a premium for this wich is around Ł200 ish (plus or minus Ł50), so a cheap second hand ECU no longer is so cheap when you have to do this .

Ive got a Pectel T2 from a formula ford. As has been said Pectel wanted a mint to unlock it and even more for the software for it.

In the end i managed to download the software for free and had it unlocked by Ahmed for alot less than pectel wanted

What-ever you can get one for, but be aware if it is locked, it will cost quite a lot to have it unlocked .

Also that does not include the loom or sensors. T2 also can't do multi-maps, so is pointless for GTiR .

Anyway, surely it'll just use standard Zetec loom and sensors ?
