Right been offerd 2 cars 1 is a mk2 golf gti 1.8 8v and the other is a pug 306 xsi 2.0 8v and cant make my mind up which to go for so any help would be cool

I'd personally go for the Pug 306, but fit the engine from an mi16 or the gti-6, the 306 is meant to have a great chassis, the 306 gti-6 stole the clio williams crown as being the top handling fwd car in its day.
