citroen xsara picassos
with the hdi engine be firm on cambeklt change, ive seen loads of em snap as think they recomend loadsa miles between changes, unless it was done recently ish get a new one done, bottom pullys can become noisey and eventually break off, german and swedish do em cheap though
i dissagree the engines are fine in cars its just loaded vans that kills em, my m8 has one gos really well, all my family are mechanics etc i do see a fair few stripped but only for snapped belts and bottom pullys, they are a bit plasticy inside but the rides ok, depreciation is moderate, they tend to come in nice colours too, if you can look past the badge there not bad motors, stay away from petrol and auto ones
Dreadfull things, shame on you for thinking of buying one! Dont get the whole people carrier things
My mate has bought one because he has a kid, what 1 kid! so you have to get one? Get a freaking grip
OF course you might have more, but still i would never buy one i would just get estate car 4x4

They might be known to be shit but my mum has one and its been 110% reliable since she got it in 2001.
Its gets used everyday and gives around 48mpg
As much as I hate French cars I can't fault it.
