how do you programme a Transit MK6 key fob (the one with 3 buttons)

 

i think off the top of my head, you press the lock button on remote then with the keys in ignition turn them on and off to pos 2 ten times the doors should then lock.

 

if not try pressing the unlock button instead as its one of the two

 

take it to a dealer

 

Think you turn the ignition on then off 8 times till the doors run through a locking phase then press the unlock/ lock button .. Not sure witch.

 

Programming remote controls

Before a new remote control can be used, it must be programmed. Up to four remote controls can be programmed.

To carry out the programming, the ignition key must be turned to position RUN and back to position OFF four times within 6 seconds.

The ignition is now switched off and the control module is in the programming mode for 10 seconds. This is indicated by illumination of the LED in the digital clock or by locking/unlocking.

Now a button on the remote control should be pressed. The remote control signal, if accepted by the control module, makes the LED in the digital clock flash or locking/unlocking occurs.

The next remote control must be programmed within the next 10 seconds.

The programming mode is terminated if no further remote control is programmed within 10 seconds or the ignition is switched on. The LED is no longer illuminated after termination of the programming mode.

After programming the remote controls must be checked.

What year transit is it?

If its a new new shape transit ('56 plate onwards with the blue rechargeable fob) they can only be coded using the ford diagnostic equipment.
