No he means 160mph

I would genuinely expect it to do that (eventually!)

160mph from 193bhp Chip!?

How long would it take to get there, if it would?

Never. The clocks may read that but I think 140-145 would be nearer the truth.

Very cool car for £1200 though!!!!

Agreed, im sure thats just an indicated speed, and I wouldnt ever want to be cruising at that anyway.

But getting away from the accuracy of the clocks or not, that is still an uber-cool motor for the cash I reckon

(selling it is not anything to do with me, I was actually tihnking of buying it till I considered the 50 quid a week more in fuel it would cost than my A4 tdi)

Just the vectra mate, I just think that its a cool car that is a bit different with 193bhp and pretty much bullet proof reliability.

Not a bad car, but dont let the GSI or 2.5 V6 bit tempt you into thinking its fast....
They are slow, lazy as fook engines, good for crusing along on the motorway but thats about it!

My old one (Genuine GSI, one of only 317 prefacelift estates)

compared to the cossies and calibra turbo you are used to it might be slow, compared to most "normal" estate cars (particuarly in that price range) though its a rocket ship.

Its all relative!

Of course, just a shame the performance doesnt match the looks!
My missus Cav SRI was just as quick, and more fun if anything

Yes, driving miss daisy and the Vectra was still thirsty as fook
I really miss the practical factor though, sporty estate on the cards again next time, probably Audi S2 or S4

What makes it better than an S4?
I have always had my eye on them, but never been too sure whether to get one

Well I'm glad I just spent a grand on a tv or I would own that now

I wanted a Gsi but it had to be a estate, I converted one to lpg a while back and put a 100litre tank up against the back seats, it still had plenty of boot space and had great range which is what I'm after.

Any idea of a new car though is now going to have to wait till next year but it is typical that these estates keep popping up now, gsi estate does seem rare though.
