Default Cossie rear wheel offest Question...

Right, i used to have 205/40/16's on my car with a ET15 offset, and they to just scrape the rear arches when it squatted.

Now, i have some 205/40/17's with a offset of ET45. I want to bring them out a bit, using 25mm spacers. This would then give an offset of ET20 on my new wheels.

Do you think they will rub because they are larger in diameter? or will they be ok?

Cheers!

Just do it. if they rub either:
A) trim the arches
B) roll the arches
C) stiffen the rear shocks
D) just leave it and hopefully it will wear away what ever it catches on*.

*not recommended.

but do they rub?
if they don't they leave as is
if you want the look then a bit of trail and error is needed
as well as longer wheel studs

I had 7 1/2" x 18" ET45 with 215/35's on my old 3dr with 20mm hubcentric spacers on rear (adjusting rear offset to ET25) made the wheels sit really nice and no rubbage at all either

Nice one mate so as my tyres are thinner, do you reckon changing them to et20 will be ok?
