Default RS from the restoration....

Hey, just got my rs turbo back from a very big (and very expensive) restoration. The cars had a full metal respray, new wings, bonnet, boot etc. Isnt one part of this car that hasnt been looked and and attended to where necessary. Looking pretty good too i think now!!

15w 50 oil ok to put in it for the summer? cheers

Thats the type of oil, the stuff he is asking about is a bit thicker when cold though, 5w40 or 10w40 would be better for it

Well with the oil i wanted 10w50 but halfords didnt have any. Rather go for the 15w50 as i know its the one that will work best at the higher temperatures and have a good covering range.
Yea car was smashed up a few months ago, jealous people with a hammer (not a smash) but its up and looking pucka again now. Got 4 throwaway cameras used during the restoration so il have plenty of them to put up to show. Having a nitemare getting insurance tho, even RSOC wont do me becauce ive got a drink driving conviction.
Anyone know of anywhere good?

Did contemplate getting the boot done, but if the battery ever goes its the only way to get into the car without smashing anything up

And yellows the only colour for an rs turbo, if ur gona drive a boy racer car u mite as well do it tidy

I have a delocked boot, was worried about a flat battery issue,
So I got a Nice heavy cable from my pos terminal tucked away by the front bumber. So I could get a battery pack on it.

Heavily insulated of coarse.

is your engine really that heavily modified to justify running 50w oil?

And thats not going to be very good for the engine while its cold, 5w50 or 10w50 would be better IMO.
