I'm bored......
Anyone own a bodyshop and want to give me a job of some sort? I'm hardworking and semi skilled. In other words I make a great cup of tea, and can sand, prime, apply filler etc etc but it'd be best if you put the paint on the motor.
You can always teach me if you like.....
I require no wages, as I work for the MOD and I'm on leave until october and I'm getting tired of sitting in the house. Plus, if I earn any more money it bumps my tax up to 40%
Someone help me out, before I go nuts with boredom....
Cheers!

This all sounds familiar
But I'm saying NOTHING
the tax bracket thing, i was always led to believe that you only pay for 40% on what you earn OVER the Ł31k-ish threshold??
I may be wrong, but that's how i always looked at it.
Cos if you got your wage up from Ł31k to Ł33k and it took you into the bracket you'd end up with less take home than before your pay rise, which isnt fair is it
(not that fair comes into it when tax is concerned)

(not that fair comes into it when tax is concerned)Starting rate 10% 0 - 2,230
Basic rate 22% 2,231 - 34,600
Higher rate 40% over 34,600
Tax sucks cock in a big way...
