Are you sure it's a blocked nose & not your sinuses?

Do you have your central heating on in the morning? If you do, try & turn it off for a morning & see if that helps

AJ it's summer.... no-one will have CH on

If you have a feather/down filled pillow, you might be allergic to it. It does sound like sinus trouble though.

i suffer from the same thing if you have a window open and get some fresh air during the night it doesnt seem to happen with me, i get it worse if the central heating is on so even in winter ill have the window wide open

Exactly

Keep your window open at night & that should sort it out - it did mine

Hayfever / Alergies for sure..... try taking an Anti-Hystamine (sp) before you go to bed at night and see if it helps. I recommend Tesco own brand, and you can actually get 2 different type of Anti-Hystamine tablets, so if one type doesnt work try the other as they react to different alergies.

Do you drink before bed?

Could just be histamine in the beer/wine.

Is he taking them in the morning or at night? Vicks isnt really going to help something alergy related. Beconase prescripton nasel spray is the only decent one around but be careful not to overuse it more than your Doctor recommends..... fucks your sinuses up big stylee as its a steroid!

Try taking them in the evening as they wear off gradually through the day, the time he most needs them ie: at night is when he has the least amount in his system. Worth a go, may not help but works for some.
