Default Any builders/gardeners/fence erectors...........

Right, i had some 10 foot conifers ripped out behind my garage and had a 6 foot fence put up instead. Ever since, when it rains, all the rear of the garage fills with water. I cant see how its getting in. Its definatly not the roof leaking and none of the walls are wet.

Im pretty sure that the conifer roots didnt disturb the foudations when i pulled them out but im beginning to think maybe the fence men have damaged something underneath whilst digging the holes for the posts (ones right next to the corner of the garage)???

Would this be possible, and if so what would i have to do to sort the problem?

Cheers.

maybe the conifers would normaly take away the water ,roots and branches.
Now they are gone there is no natural drainage .
Install a land drain ,aint rocket sience ,do it in a day

or is the ground level simply higher than the garage floor?? dig it away

Digging a trench allong the back of the garage ,to a nearby manhole .Getting a roll of land drain pipe from a merchants and some pea gravel. Trench about 350mm deep 2500 wide ,layer of gravel 50mm-70mm lay in the plastic drain ,lead it to the manhole with a slight fallk, nock a hole through. Then fill grevel on top and around the pipe ,and back fill the soil.
The water will go inti the ground and will naturaly follow the porous gravel and pipe th the manhole .

Job done

NOT the foul water manhole though Unless its combined top and foul!

TBH a land drain to a small soakaway would do...
