Default any brickies on here?

just wondering if anyone could give me a rough idea on how much to pay for the brick work on a small building we want done.

its 8.06m x 3.2m internal thermal block and outside normal brick with a 100mm cavity. will also have one large window the same width as a garage door and about 1.5m tall and a normal door.

me and a mate are planning on digging the footings and doing all the concrete work just need to get a brickie in to lay the bricks and dont want to end up paying through the teeth, we did have a quote for someone to do the whole job from start to finish and it was close on 16k with seems alot more than i was expecting.

cheers les.

Less than 2k brick - openings ,less than 350 blocks. just brickwork and blockwork, labour round here would be Ł450 per 1k bricks and 12 quid per m2 blocks .

So thats roughly 400quid blockwork and 900 quid for brickwork, bit for setting out and scafolding ,tressels would do a single story ,

thats presuming the building is 3.2 projection and 8m wide ,3 sides as an extension ,if its a free standing building then add on the 1k as lee has roughly quoted

I do think youll get it cheaper though pal. Like i say i just went slightly above..

Materials depends. I think iirc thermalites are about 11 quid a meter and then bricks can be anything from 250 quid per 000 onwards...average is 350 inc vat...
