Default Anyone with RST FMIC's, GRS, AS, RADtech etc etc?

Could you please measure your intercooler cores for me?

Hieght, width and deepth please,

i have measurement for the Pro Alloy one already.

What i'm trying to do, is see what size cores RST's need for best ACT'S.

also if you have a ACT gauge, what temps do you see, and spec.

Cheers Danny

FRST radtec, 525 x 260 x 55mm, = 7518 m3 core area

ERST Pro alloy, 475 x 180 x 45mm, = 6435 m3 core area.

My Xr2tt 4wd cossie, 455 x 115 x 122mm, = 6384 m3 core area.

My Fiecos AH fabs rs500, 585 x 400 x 62mm, = 14508 m3 core area.

My xr2tt, see's 39oC at 6400 rpm in 5th, after a few back to back top speed runs. 1.6cvh, 2wd cossie T3 18psi, 200+ bhp

My cossie, 450bhp, gt30 26psi, 44oC on 28oc ambients and back to back top speed runs, 39oC with water inj on.

i've been looking at universal inters on ebay to replace my xr2tt 4wd cossie setup.
and looking at 550 x 180 x 65mm. = 6435 m3 core size.

Well in that case the Radtec one is too high for you then.

Cheap and cheerful - they've all got reference sizes on too.

Looks good - when the one turns up that I ordered (from the same shop), i'll get some close up pics of the welds, wall thickness etc.

The tanks don't look the best - but at £100... I can afford to try it out

i have been getting prices for 2, as i might put 2 together, and re make the end takes.

As that will be the best i could ever fit in the space i have, and will be fine for over 400+ bhp.

its not just the size of the core that effects air charge temprature, other things such as if its a twin or single pass intercooler, the end tank design and the density of the cooling fins all make a major difference.

Twin pass GRS is the best

Even if its twin pass, the core is still the same size, but it might be more efficient.
