could just be irritation from what you ate, maybe even worms if you are unlucky but they are rare in western world unless you are unhygienic or eat some dodgy raw meats.

 

oh and the obvious - was it a really big shit?? sometimes if you have a really big shit especially if its more solid (ie hardish) you can cause a bit of bleeding from damaged linings/ hoop stretching

if its bright red dont worry about it as its fresh blood caused as mentioned above, straining or too big a log. I used to get it alot when I ate a very protein rich diet. Doctors said not to worry about it unless its old black blood as the bleed is then obviously higher up in the bowel.
