Default Manual boost controllers

Remember reading this years ago and wanted to try it but never got round to it. Just wondering if anyone has tried anything similar?

you would need to disconnect your existing amal valve if you were to use it to turn the boost DOWN

it shouldnt be a problem at all running less boost providing your car was mapped (or chip supplied) by someone competent.

No one in this thread is talking about any device that even slightly like a bleed valve in terms of how it operates, what are you on about?

No mate.

A bleed valve leaks air off to make it look like there is less boost, a dawes device (MBC) doesnt leak any air at all, it merely blocks the air from getting to the actuator.

If you want to compare it to anything, its similar in operation to a set of air injectors, as its "bleed on" in nature not "bleed off"

Oh, on the other hand though, from the users point of view, they are similar, in that if you wish to you can keep turning the knob till it goes bang
