Default Changing the rear Springs on ECossy

Is there an easier way of changing the rear springs other than what it says in the workshop manual and that is to undo the 3 bolts from the front of the trailing arm or what ever it's called and undoing the driveshaft from the hub???

By undoing the trailing arm bolts won't you upset the set up of the car??

Surely there must be an easier way

Also, do I need to cut down my bump stops on the rear if I am dropping it by 25mm??

Easiest way is to remove the driveshafts mate and the big bolt which holds the wishbone. It's easy though, take maybe 20 mins max per side. If you get a mate to stand on the disk once you've freed the driveshaft it'll come out no bother. Just obviously make sure it's well supported before your buddy starts jumping up and down..

When I say the big bolt I mean the one that holds the suspension strut.

I undid the bolt securing the strut but still couldn't get the wishbone low enough. My concern then was that my Goodridge hose was getting to the limit of tightness (If there is such a word lol)

Do you also have to disconnect the Anti-Roll bar leg??

It wont move all that much with the driveshaft still connected, maybe 3 inches or so?

The driveshaft is easy to remove and line back up. But once that's clear it'll loosen right up and the spring should be easy to remove. If you have skinny hands like me I removed to bumpstop through the spring which helped a wee bit
