Jack the car up , turn the steering with the tyre from side to side . see if there are and tight spots . or any play in the arms.(bits the track rod end screw on)

I have alot of experiance with this as i had one on my old RS Turbo. mine was 2.2 turns lock to lock which is a bit harsh, i would recomend about 2.8 turns lock to lock as about right. They do feel heavy under 30mph but above 30mph they feel great, very stable and a nice quick turn in speed.

I asked about this not long back as I was looking to possibly get one instead of a new standard item. Got told steering was even heavier than normal and not really worth it.
