Any Money Saving Tips ?
Right over the past few weeks i've been looking at ways of saving money etc...Already i've done the following :-
1. Mortgage is OK - im on a good deal for now.
2. Paid Car Insurance in Full instead of instalments.
3. Paid Home and contents insurance in full instead of instalments.
4. Cancelled my Sky.
5. Moved phone provider to my ISP.
6. Organised Water board to fit a water meter to my house.
7. Settled my Visa bill and swear i'm not using it ever
Can't think of much else to do, i only switched energy providers last year too.
Any more ideas ?

Instead of using a debit card for little things here and there, issue yourself with say £100 "flash" money each month, and spend ONLY that. You'd be amazed how much the odd fiver here and there on the debit card adds up each month.

I do tend to shop wisely for food offers etc but i'm going to try Tesco Online as my local Co-op don't have too much choice, as for car use and clothes etc get stuffed lol im not walking about like a tramp
and Zippy i ditched the Evo
Do you take cash out of the bank instead of using debit card to pay for things? i tend to waste cash if i take it out, so never carry any on me, saves a few pennies
Sell your unwanted bits on ebay, have a house clearout
change all your lightbulbs to power saving, turn appliances off etc, saves u money, oh and put your washing machine on during the night, it costs less
Shop at butchers and fruit shops for your groceries, much cheaper and cost effective compared to supermarkets
walk as much as you can to save on petrol costs
dont have takeaway foods, they cost an awful lot, its cheaper to get fresh and do it yourself, and tastes better!

I swear, I am an expert on saving.
As said, give yourself a certain amount per WEEK, then live on that, no mags, choccy bars, chippys, etc etc
You will be amazed at what you don't need and the money will last you.
I used to get paid weekly and would take 100 quid out, this then had to last me a week for everything (not including bills) and I could do it.
Buy food like potatoes and pasta etc, these can be the main part of a meal and will be cheap and last ages. Look at your shopping, is it full of frozen crap that costs ££££, are you buying branded cleaning items, get the stuff thats 2-1 etc
Without a doubt, they easiest way to save is by having a smaller budget in the wallet, no credit card and thinking before you buy.
On an average day you could
Have cerial for breakfast 50p
Pack lunch to work £1.50
Home cooked evening meal £6
Cerial Supper 50p
Total £3102.00
or
Cafe' breakfast £3
Chippy lunch £3
Take away evening meal £10
Cerial supper
Total per year £5840
So you could save around 2500 quid a year
Then take away things like paper, magazines, sweets, pop etc

thats because most people in this day and age " dont have time" to cook, and eat loads of expensive junk food, when in actual fact its quicker to whip summat up instead of getting a takeaway,
save money and shape up, what more could you want

I think it was due to me being paid shit money when I was younger, so had to make it last, then as the business took of the money went up but the spending cycle never really changed.
When i was looking to buy my first place i saved 20k in under 2 years
another trick is to build up 1k in the bank, then it just seems to grow and grow, I would get really agro at myself i it ever fell below the 1k mark and would be chuffed to see more cash in the bank when ever I went to draw out my weekly allowance
The upside to this is i never ever think about payday, never have to borrow money and can always treat myslef if I want to
I managed to sort my misses money out for her and she clear 9k in 12 months
It's not about being tight, it is just a case of not buying tat that you don't need, don't let people spunge of you either, how many times have you sat in a pub while a mate sits and smoke all your fags, or bought a first round only for half the people to sod of after a pint or two??
One thing that did used to grate me was when we would all go out as a group, the mates birds would all be bought drink - vodkas etc, then not buy a round themselves
fine if it's your misses, some of us were single at the time and would be stung for buying them drinks all night
