I swear, I am an expert on saving.

As said, give yourself a certain amount per WEEK, then live on that, no mags, choccy bars, chippys, etc etc

You will be amazed at what you don't need and the money will last you.

I used to get paid weekly and would take 100 quid out, this then had to last me a week for everything (not including bills) and I could do it.

Buy food like potatoes and pasta etc, these can be the main part of a meal and will be cheap and last ages. Look at your shopping, is it full of frozen crap that costs ££££, are you buying branded cleaning items, get the stuff thats 2-1 etc

Without a doubt, they easiest way to save is by having a smaller budget in the wallet, no credit card and thinking before you buy.

On an average day you could

Have cerial for breakfast 50p
Pack lunch to work £1.50
Home cooked evening meal £6
Cerial Supper 50p

Total £3102.00

or

Cafe' breakfast £3
Chippy lunch £3
Take away evening meal £10
Cerial supper

Total per year £5840

So you could save around 2500 quid a year

Then take away things like paper, magazines, sweets, pop etc
