do you have to mod the pick up pipe on a 200 4x4 block when fitting a 2wd sump


or do you have to put the 2wd item on

 

grind away the bit of the 2w/d sump that it hits against!

 

andweaken the sump? no chance.

You adjust the oil spray bar pipes with a pair of water pump pliers and then adjust the nozzles that point under pistons 1 and 2 to line up properly again - takes all of 2 mins

I still prefer NOT to take an angle grinder to the sump

 

so when swapping sumps on a 4x4 engine to a 2wd sump,can you still use the 4x4 oil pick up pipe and pump?

just asking coz ive gone with that set up and some ppl have told me not a good idear!

 

no problems at all, only adjustment needed is to the oil spraybar as stated above

 

does that mean you can use a 2wd pump on a 4x4 too?
