To make it fit by grinding the sump, you need to remove at least 5mm of material in the area the pipe contacts it. now how thick is the sump there? about 6mm tops - leaving not much material at all.
well the last ones that I know that have been done DIDN'T need alot taken off to miss and ARE still in perfect working order so
