Default Fitting pistons on rods......How?

As above with regards to zetec pistons and rods.

Are they easy to do or is it a engine shop job?

I've been told they do it by heat treating them!!!

Matt.

do you need to take the old pistons off the rods? if you are trying to do this then it will require a hell of a lot of force to get the pin out!
Same goes for getting them in really.

careful! very tricky job. Your not supposed to do it, as the pistons are usually scrap - its normally the rods u save - not the piston. It has to be done with heat, as little as possible, and NOT pressed on!
