Default what causes a car to pull to left bad when letting off

just bought a mk5 escort for runnabout when you go through 1st 2nd or 3rd and let go off the throttle the car pulls right over to the left badly when you put foot back down it goes back to right?

have you tried to keep the steering wheel straight,,,,,,, thats the first thing i would check as when xrt-si used to complain about torque steer in his fiesta we discovered if he stopped jerking the wheel left and right that it reduced torque steer by 95%

check to see if you have mismatched crappy cheng shing special tyres.

I had rear wheel steer from an old e30 from having a flippin mankey old remoulds, i changed them for new rubber and car drove in straight line....

Sounds like ends or bushes though..

Its play somewhere in the suspension or steering, but TBH it could be multiple things.

Could even be the shell is torn and moving about!
