i no it can be done in place but was just wondering whats the easyest method

remove o/s engine mount and jack engine up? or does the gearbox mount need to come off too, cheeRS

No need to remove any engine mounts bud.

Remove cam belt, cam pulley,
Take off your rocker cover and remove rockers,
Take off your dizzy, you might want to mark it first to be somewhere near, but if your changing the spec of your cam, you may need to alter the ign timing anyway.

With the dizzy off, the camshaft should come through the hole, through the gearbox side.

YUP CHANGED ONE ON MY SERIES 1 MONTH AGO.1 IN 1 OUT.NO HASTLE AT ALL...ID BUY A NEW CAMSEAL ASWELL.FOR WHAT THEY COST..

nice 1, wasnt sure what side it came out will be putting the standerd cam back in next weekend then, thanks guys
