Default mg zr 2.0td

hi all,

i know this is a ford forum, but its worth a try, i've currently just got a ford escort finesse nothing special - 1st car and all.

but my mate has a mg zr 2.0td for sale 03 plate, now i really like it and it seems pretty fast.

has anyone got any experiance with these? how are they like as cars?

one of my worrys is parts, how do i go about getting hold of them if they are needed?

parts you buy from Rover, just like always, the only difference is that you need to find your local dealer.

Mine is Rowes Rover in Basingstoke - you go into the Gowerings Ford Parts Dept and speak to a rover guy LOL

Of course all the motor factors carry the usually spares too.

Spares are no worries at all, bloody quick and VERY underated cars IMO.
Plenty tuneable as well, a freind of mine does these(rovers) and nothing else, but 90 % of his work is K series, headgaskets!!

Paint is usually very thin. Scratch well easy especially the trophy blue.
Engines - the TD are pretty good BUT Hell they are noisy when cold.

The do a wicked tuning box for them which adds some good figures.
The 17inch MG Straights do rub a little on full lock.

The drive isnt that nice to be honest. I hate being the passenger in my mrs car.

Look out for bad accident damage. Alot of them are in Salvage yards as they had a tendancy to write them off over silly things. I guess due to the crash of MG ROVER. This means people buying them cheaper and selling the self repaired shit on.

Apart from that a good looking car.
