Default 1.8 to 2L zetec conversion

hi got an orion 1.8 zetec just have a couple off questions before i put the 2L in can i use the 2L ecu and inlet manifold and keep the 1.8 loom or do i need to put the 2L loom in place of the 1.8 also do i need to use the fly wheel, sump and pickup pipe from the 1.8? any other info would be greatly recieved cheers adam

There is little point in swapping engines as the 1.8 can produce very similar power to the 2.0lt cheapily. Only if you get above 200 bhp is the swap worth it.

1.8 is seized and have a 2L and loom lyin in my garage thats why am changin it

Sorry, got confused by your avtar.

You need the sump, inlet, water pump and (not essential) flywheel from your 1.8. Swap it all over then compare the wiring diagrams of the 2 ECU to see if you need to move pins about. If the 2.0 ECU has PATS you will need to find one the hasn't got PATs.

You'll probably find you can't just plug the 2.0 ECU in.

All depends on whether the PATS and EDIS are external or not.

Obviously anything is possibly, where there is a will there is a way but just dont expect to plug it in and fire it up.
