There's a fella on here AndyH_ZS, He's done my partners previous and current cars and done a fantasic job at an exceptionally resonable rate!

Also

I know of an enthusiast based in reading. I've seen his work on posted on forums and it looks ok!

Robbed his post from www.e36coupe.co.uk...

quite a lot of dust & dirt on the car so to get things going I foamed it up with my karcher foam gun and used chemical guys maxi suds 2, I let this dwell for 5 minutes then rinsed down with the karcher.

I then washed the car using the 2 bucket method with a lambswool washmitt & my chemical guys buckets both with grit guards.

after this I tried the car using my sonus ultimate drying towel and the swirls could cleary be seen in the sunlight

I then masked the car up and put her in the garage for claying & polishing

I clayed the whole car using sonus green clay, and this is what it looked like after the front wing

I then masked off a section of the boot to see what polish & pad combo I would need, after doing a bit of research I was aware Honda paint was fairly soft so as always started with the least abbrasive polish and

worked my way up.

First I tried Menzerna PO85RD on a "6 Blue finishing pad and this didnt really remove many of the defects, so I then stepped up to PO106FF on a white polishing pad and this removed around 70% of the defects so to improve
this I then stepped up to Intesive Polish Po91L on a white polishing pad following up with Po85RD on a blue finishing pad and I was happy with this result

BEFORE

50:50 after P106FF

50:50 after PO91L & PO85RD

So with my chosen pad & polish combo I proceeded to polish the wholecar using my porter cable and even found that I was getting some slight micromarring after using the Intesive polish however this was soon rectified with the PO85RD & the blue finishing pad.

I then applied a coat of Chemical Guys Blitz sealant to the car and the following day applied o coat of harly carnuba wax and this gave a really nice clear shine on the black car, rubber seals & tyres dressed with chemical guys new look trim gel and glass and lights cleaned with autoglym glass polish.

I then went round the car with chemical guys synthetic quick detailer to remove any polish & dust, the exhaust was also cleaned & polished with autosol.

So here are the pics of the finished result...

the owner was very happy with the results 8)
