Default Ford puma timing bad and juddering similar symtons as petrol

hi guys love the site i have a 17 98 puma and lately it as been running bad on idle ie about 900 to 950 rpm and shaking so i went to see a mechanic and he said to replace the plugs and leads with ford ones so i have it as made some difference but now when i accelerate it sticks at about 2000 rpm then it takes off like a turbo but noticing loads of power loss in bottom end and pull off

please help

take the airflow sensor off next to the air cleaner. and give it a clean from inside with some carb cleaner . n try that

Just unplug the airflow sensor first. If it is better with it unplugged then clean the MAF, if it is no different it could be the HEGO.

hi guys i have completly replaced the air flow sensor and i think it made it worst anyone got a idea of what else it could be please!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi i replaced the coil with no effect so i decided to replace one last piece which was the lamba sensor and lucky for me it was that so thanx for you help guys as these were all viable options
