I'm going to start a little project over the next few weeks (spare time)....
I have a pair of 324mm Focus RS discs gathering dust in my garage as well as a S2....lol, so I'm going to fit them to the Escort with the std calipers (with any luck anyway).
In my head its a piece of piss...
1. Jack her up remove wheels.
2. Remove std calipers (not completely as it saves time having to rebleed the system).
3. Remove std discs.
4. Get std caliper hangers machined out by 4mm to take the extra 4mm width of the FRS discs (FRS 28mm wide, S2 24mm wide)
5. Bolt up the FRS discs to hubs and make brackets to accept the std S2 hangers.
6. Grind 1-2mm off the pad surface to give me clearance (due to the fact the FRS disc is thicker the pads will have to be thinner to give clearance)
7. Wheels back on go for test drive......hopefully
Now I have done summit similar b4 on my old 3dr Cossie when I got some TVR AP Racing calipers and some FRS discs and made my own brackets etc up and that worked 100%.
This time the plan is to do everything for ZERO COST as I have access to a machine shop to machine the caliper hangers, the pads and make the brackets.
I'll keep you posted on the progress and take pics of the project all the way through so with any luck if it all works we'll see a few more done as well

Well I started this afternoon.....
It's actually easier than I hoped...
Only need to widen the caliper hanger by about 1mm as it fits atm with a little tap from a hammer so once its had a 1mm trim it'll be a nice fit
Then its just a case of making the brackets which is also easier than I'd hoped
2 small plates (1 for each side) of steel 140mm long, 60mm wide and 6 mm thick and 4 holes drilled 10.5mm and it's all done and just needs bolting together.

Nice idea, but you will still get the same braking area because you are using the standard calipers. The inner part of the disc towards the hub will never be used.T o get the full benefit of the FOCUS RS discs, you need to use the FOCUS RS calipers as well.

I know that..... I'm going on the same idea as when people use std calipers and 2wd Cossie discs, it's just that I had the FRS discs in the garage gathering dust so decided to put them to use
... Eventually I'll use 4x4 Cossie calipers or possibly the FRS 1's..... But I'm sure with a whooping 135bhp the std 1's will be ok for a while...lol

I can get brand new FRS discs for a hell of alot less than £200 for a pair.... direct from Brembo missing out the Ford main dealer, that's how I was selling sooooo many pairs on RSOC website for £190 delivered
All fitted now and they look huge compared to the calipers and the old discs....lol Not alot of clearance between the caliper and the 17's tho..... Best bit all fitted up for absolutely bugger all

No no and no you'll only take the piss outta my small calipers.....lol
By the time I got done last night it was getting dark and tbh I couldn't be bothered to walk back to the house and then back to the garage with the camera....... I'll get the car out at the weekend with any luck and get some pics up then
Also I don't think that'll I'll have room for the 4x4 or FRS calipers as there isn't much room left with the std S2 calipers
........ anyway it looks better than std S2 discs now anyway behind the 17's
Well worth the "money" I spent.....lol
