is the felpro gasket reuseable. will have to withstand at most 190 bhp. had it on there 6 months only done 100 miles of low rpm work using non stretch bolts.

My Felpro HG let go mid tear up with a Porker on a dual carriageway. Blew straight through between 2 pistons and all compression was lost on those 2 cylinders. Was absolutely gutted as I was all over the guy until it failed.

Ford gasket has never let me down despite 25psi being used.

are there any alternatives for using a felpro gasket?
ive got a fresh 1858cc 1600cvh(+2mm) engine expecting to put out around 260bhp, ready to be put in the engine bay,and ive used a felpro as it seems to be the only one available for this bore size. but I mostly hear bad stories about them

i think the likes of ferriday engineering should be able to help you mate
do a search on the web for them, the geezer is a genius in my opinion and very good at what he does. He is Always happy to give people advice.

i used to use Felpro's on my old 1.8 cvh.

but had countless failures, usually into a water way.

Ford gasket about Ł38 from a dealer,
Payden about Ł15 from a motor factor.

I think I got through 4 Felpro last year, until I started to use a copper one, which was perfect until my piston and rings melted which took the copper gasket with them.
