Tbh though, ive never seen a new one and i thought they would be more transparent, i thought they discoloured and went cloudy over the years.

Ive got a second hand one thats close in condition to that, which i think i'll stick with it aswell fuck paying a couple of hundred

I think its a real shame people buy up all the parts tbh because it kind of destroys it for most people that want to keep there car in good form, i think i speak for the majority when i say i wouldnt fork out Ł500 for one of these, i use a lot of second hand parts and because of this very reason i keep a lot of spares

Not being funny mate if i could earn a few grand for doing nothing i'd do it, and bet that 99% of people on hear would as well.

 

Of course everyone likes making a profit and its a tempting idea, but we all know how annoying it is when you go into Ford for that part you desperately need and get told its obsolete

And i expect Ford spares are becoming so scarce at dealerships for this very reason

oh of course mate if i had a couple of these i would sell them to but it is quite bad to hold on wait for ford to stop making them then sell them. Im quite mixed on it because it is unfair on people like me with no money who can not afford these prices for original headers. Im still with bailey header tanks

 

This has happened very recently though if you think about it (if im right)...

FordPartsUK had a limited supply of 17" 7 spoke RS alloy's and I think the majority of them have been bought by people with the intention of selling them on, I know of several people who have just put them into storage for when they thing they can sell them on for a tidy profit.

There was loads on ebay even while fordpartsuk was supplying them and they was reaching over Ł1k while available for about Ł450 ish, just people (on ebay) didnt know where to get them.

Unfortunately, it's the world we live in, which is driven by greed. It means when someone genuinely wants something, they will have to pay stupid money for it, because every c*nt has bought them all to sell on for a profit!

It does look new but is discoloured..prob from being sat on a shelf.
They should be brighter white when new: check out my S2 tank in the pic. This is how white they should be freshly new.

rs shawn they do appear to cary from the S2 expansion tanks though, they are a lot thicker and do appear to be a lot less transparent, i'd say thats as it would of been 20 years ago personally.

Most of them turn yellow and the plastic goes brittle and starts to break up.

 

Ł310 n' still going... i've got a mint unused s1 steering wheel still in its box, wonder what that'd fetch now???
