power to weight = power(bhp)/weight(Ton)

therefore 140/0.35 = 400 bhp per ton

so whats the general rule of thumb with this

the power in bhp divided by the weight e.g

300bhp / 1.0 (1000kg) = 300bhp per ton

so for a car with 300bhp and weighs 1500kg the formula would be

300/1.5 =?

thanks

carl

Will be powered by a ZX10 engine that revs to over 10,000rpm who the hell needs a turbo lol. May fit Nos though for a bit of extra fun.

thought 1 metric tonne is 1000Kg.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tonne

and 1 imperial ton is 2,240 lb (exactly 1,016.0469088 kg).

did some caluclations on the track maestro few weeks back

I know the maestro weight but guessed on cossie and scooby

Maestro 790kg = BHP Per Tonne 278bhp

Cossie 1300kg ish @ 350bhp =Per tonne 269bhp

Scooby 1600kg ish @ 420 =Per tonne 262bhp

All good just stopping, cornering and everything else is the issue
