hi my s2 has just passed its mot and will be out next week the only prob is i still have a knock at the head and is worse when engine has just started then is a bit better when i give it some the car goes then misfires and holds back the car has been sitting pretty empty on fuel for a while and ive ran out a few times as my gauge aint up to much it also needs a set up as sometimes fueling is out are all these probs connected

Lewis i will need to have a wee run against you once your car is running properly

 

Fill the tank up with some decent fuel and take it for a long steady run and see if any of the top end noise improves. Sounds like a knackered hydraulic lifter to me personally.

safechav: is it o.k to run the car as long as i dont put it under load as im going to a few shows in next 2 weeks

 

i wouldnt like to put a definate answer on that, but if you have to drive it, driving it gently is going to better than boosting it up.

It'd be best if you can just get it fixed though
