to cut a long story short i have a spare ofab ecu and chip, my currecnt ofac ecu and chip i think are on their way out.

How hard is it to convert my current loom and setup to accept the OFAB ecu and chip.

As i said to you before, you HAVE to have a Marelli MAP sensor to run OFAB.

 

are the edis units and co pot thingys interchangable tho?

so erm using a 3 bar on ofab...keep the suppressor or ditch it?

 

The suppressor should be kept, but you can't just plug a 3 Bar in and run it, get your wallet out cos you need a chip

Ive got OFAB here i bought a year and half ago but im going to run megasquirt now

ive swapped from ofac to ofab and was wondering what bits i can keep and what bits i need to replace.thing is my loom i got had the supressor removed (plug too ) so i need to get a new plug and supressor?

 

You sure its been removed? Earlt FRST's didn't have suppressors i believe.

 

ahhh that could explain it,i compared against a ofab loom my mate is using for his bonus sleeper and where he has the bit for the supressor i dont have anything


so will it run ok without one (obviosly having a correct chip for my set up)

 

It will run, obviously they got fitted on later ones for a reason but it shouldnt be too much of a drama if you dont
