Default Gaugepod replacing center vents...

Hi 'ya all,

Who knows where to get a decent gaugepod to replace the center vents in an Mk4 dash?

I've had mine from Nomad Racing but it doesn't fit like it should and because of the gauges pointing a bit at an angle upwards, the rear of the gauges are stuck against the heater control unit.

A few pics:

Who can supply one that will fit better and has better clearance for the gauges vs. the control unit?!?

Many thanks!

Mark

I just went to the blokes house who owns nomad earlier tonight to pick my central vent pod and a few gauges up, the one he sold me looks alot different to that, it also ESCORT RS Turbo enscribed in it... Maybe he sent you the wrong one?

I took a quick look at Burton's website and the picture shows the same pod I already have.

It's a plastic one and looks good but doesn't fit as good as it should.

I've seen metal ones around, wondering who sells them and if they are a better fit!?!

The one i picked up from nomad today is metal, not got round to fitting it yet but it looks good quality, ring him up and see what he says? He may have changed his supplier or some thing.

I used a dremel to cut away the heater to gain more clearance.

That's not really an option for me unless I want to inform the passenger about my engine parameters.

I don't think left hand drive pillar pods are available for a Mk4....
