aloha!
I need to change my roof on my cabby as it have seen its better days!
So that i was wondering about is, is it hard to change it?
what kind of glue do/did u use
then, the el windows.. i have the parts for it...i hope
i have the motor (yes for the cabby, not the others mk4) and the contacts/buttons in the door handle.. so how do i connect it?
and last as in the picture, a guessing game.. what kind of car is that on the side there.. left in the picture
(you could see the headlamp on it)

1) Could be tricky if you've never done a roof before, not sure what glue is used but it wont be anything speical as all the areas under stress have screws and strips on them anyway!
Being honest i had to remove the lining on mine from the frame to change the frame as it was bent and i didnt use any glue when i refitted the lining.
2) Windows...........you'll need to rip the dash out and put the electric window loom in behind the dash aswell, and the rubber sections that car from the car to door are fun to get in if you've never done them before.
3) No fucking clue

hm, but if u did not use any glue.. is it not very loose on the edges? (the end over the side windows) and what about the rear window.. it is a plastic/rubber sealing around the window.. is that connected to the windows.. so you have to take out the whole window, or could i just bend it over when i cut out the back windows in the top roof? i have a "how to do pdf file here some where.
about the el windows...
is it allot behind the dash? does it has a brain or something?
never connected does before so

No because as i say the sides have the metal strips screwed down which firmly grips the material between them and the frame, obviously i strecthed the liner and used the original holes in the fabric.
I didnt remove the rear window i left that on the car and just folded the liner down.
Have a look for yourself

No brain for the windows, just a small wiring loom! Theres not much behind the dash.

yes.. but.. hm.. ok.. yeah, it looks good.. but have you had the roof down after u fitted it, so it is not just too tight?
have you any pics of the metal strips?
Do you have any pics during the fitting?
el windows ok, then i am going to sort it out tomorrow!
You don't have much faith in me do you
It folds down perfect, see for yourself:

I did have pictures of a lot of things while i was converting the car but i had to back them up onto DVD-R's and they went corrupt

Tried everything mate, the discs do have errors though, whether that drive that was in the laptop was just extremely good or what i don't know, but it didn't last very long for such little use
Im actively looking for another drive so i may well be able to retrieve them in the future.

My PC drive will read the disk i have salvaged probably 7 pictures of all the 3.7GB of stuff on there, most of it appears corrupt.
The laptop drive is a common failure there are loads on ebay that dont work aswell.
