been waiting a week for a silicon reducer hose to arrive,i need to remove my air box so a gas conversion regulator has somewhere to fit under the bonnet.
i already had a apexi air filter that i was gonna fit to the rs200.seemed a shame not to use it

the tie wraps are only on temp till i make a bracket up to hold it firm.
it has a really nice induction roar now
makes me wanna boot it everywhere
stainless exhaust next (have you seen the size of bm`s exhaust box`s
)

that`s the problem with a bm,they don`t feel that fast
pressing on, 100mph comes up pretty quick
think it`s 6.2 seconds to 60 and limited to 155mph (un-sure though)

i started fitting the lpg tank the other week.
to get it to fit i had to remove the exhaust, fuel tank (fits across the full width of the car)
i imported the tank from germany as it was 50% cheaper for me to do it that way, and it arrived in 2 days
its a stako 66litre full toridual tank

had to make 4 brackets up to get it mounted properly (5mm steel)

while the car was im-mobile i took the inlet manifold off and took it to my local lpg garage to have the pipes fitted.

all bolted back together and apart from you can see the bolts in the end of the rubber tube it looks nearly factory

the front end just needs plumbing in now and ecu wiring spliced into cars ecu loom.
more updates to follow

alex, conversion is £1900 - the tank and other bits i fitted to help along installation, hopefully about £1400 ish
around town i only get single figures
,about 20ish on a run.
once lpg fitted sould be cheap to run
car is going to brom at zoo for a full stainless system fitted from the cats back.
i have had to cut apart the orignal exhaust to fit the tank filler, and to make it easier for brom to see what i want.
here is a picture of the quick cut up (ignore the welding and multipule steel peices,i was just using what i had lying around)

as you can see the back box has had a fairly big peice cut-out.but it now clears the lpg filler
this is the lpg filler/valve that the exhaust needs to clear

it clears now

just need to take to brom now,and i can`t wait.
would be nice to have the v8 burble and be able to ring it`s neck without worrying about the fuel costs

brom has sent me a few pictures of the middle box (look well blingy
)

we are just sorting out what tail pipe to use now,i can`t wait to hear it,should have a nice burble now
bought this of ebay the other day while trawling for bargains.

it`s a zavoli alisei sequencial lpg front end system (cost £900 new),i got it for £210 delivered
i was willing to pay about £350 for it,it came of a bmw 740,so it should in theory plug and play and not need rolling roading.
here`s a picture of the 8 pan injectors (easy to clean if shit does get into the system)

here is a picture of the gas regulator/vapouriser,lpg comes from the tank and it is compressed inside here (also coolant heated) and sent to the injectors.

rang the lpg garage today and they are un-sure if the regulator will flow enough for 300bhp so i may have to change it for a bigger 1 (about £100)

brom sent me these pictures over the other day
his work is second to none, consulted me over every step of fabrication,i couldn`t speak highly enough about the legend
this shows the middle box and the pipe work under the rear axle

the back box joins onto the picture above

this is how i am having my tailpipes, downswept (upside down dtm style)
they will be a little closer than in the picture but you get the idea, they were just held there for the picture
side view

rear view

hope you like

well i finally picked the touring up earlier today.
they have done an excellant job on fitting the kit i gave them
car pulls like a bastard on petrol and lpg.
the real bonus is,it is shed loads cheaper now
this shows why i had to junk the bmw air cleaner assembly and fit an apexi filter, new vapouriser is underneath it,just got to make an alloy heat shield to fit under the air filter now so i doesn`t pull hot air from the vapouriser.

an all in shot to show the pan injectors, map sensor and pipes/wiring.

when the engine cover is on,it`s all hidden
can`t wait to rag it to death now knowing i don`t need a tanker following behind.
the power delivery seems more raw then my other 540,might have something to do with the stainless exhaust and filter

in a weird twist of fate i had to sell this back in december.
the other day i put my name back on the logbook, yipee.
it had been well looked after, which is a bonus.
still makes me smile and i got it cheaper than i sold it for, which for me is good going.
