I was thinking along these lines, but imo, these defenders are playing the top level in Spanish football, maybe not THE top team, but all the same they are professional footballers of same or very similar calibre to players in the top flight of any league.

We could all argue differnt points all day, but how often these days do you actually see these types of goal? Not many. Ronaldo goes past one or two players at most. Gigg's goals was special, and Maradona went past the same amount of top flight English defenders with just as much ease. Nobody blames the defence for these goals, the attckers are praised for their ability.

I don't think the defence is to blame for any of these goals, it's just awesome footballing skill

aston villa versus some lower league team in an early round of FA or CocaCola cup.

pretty sure villa won 7-1 or something.

the player was a young lad (teenage, 16-19?) from ghana, never used to play often.

think he came on as a sub, took it past about 9 players from well inside the villa half and scored, was absolutley awesome, proper george weah spec goal

obv the opposition wasnt as good, but still, they didnt make any big mistakes, he just shown some awesome skill.

it was never a famous goal as it was just a beat-down of a lower league team, i remember watching it on the ITV highlights about 2am, but ill never forget it, was abolutley amazing

It was a young foriegn lad they bought that season, Ghana international i think, well, was in the end, was well young then but at least a under21, more i think, more im sure he was 16 or summat.

Cant remember his name, i do remember he was a great player to buy on them computer games Championship Manager and Championship Manager Italia at the time tho
