Default Advice on engine/megasquirt/manifold

Need your help guys, I've been offered a 2.0 zetec fro a mondeo thats been stripped and had belts replaced and some seals and other little bits replaced. Also a megasquirt v2, and a 4-2-1 manifold. Basically i plan to fit all this into my fiesta si but i want to know if you think all the above is worth the £400 he wants for it all? and if anyone knows anything about the v2 megasquirt any help/advice would be greatly welcome. I've put some pix up of whats on offer so please advise me guys. Cheers Dave.

If the engine is in a good state then thats got to be worth it.

V2 megasquirt is supposed to be the better of the ones available i do believe, lots of extra code available to allow you to do pretty much anything you want.

I would make sure it is a 2.o ltr and check the water pump and sump have been changed to suite the Fiesta.

He's saying he's changes all the parts over to fit straight into fiesta sothat should be ok. Was just concerned the manifold looked a cheapo one and if thats all thats needed for the megasquirt?

As Wardy said.......have alook at the block behind where the exhaust manifold should go, will have 2 0 cast into it if is a 2.0l. Is always worth double checking. I was going to say from the pic it looks like the waterpump pulley is multi-vee+alternator positon and rear engine mount would suggest its already been converted to run in a escort/fiesta.
Exhaust manifold looks like an ashley 4-2-1 but the second half welded up with bolt on flange.......Other than that its a good deal. I found Megasquirt can be abit tricky to install. Not trying to put you off, its a good ecu once you`ve got your head round it *I got there in the end* but theres plenty of help on the MS forums if you have any problems.

this is what i'm unsure of the guy selling it is saying its more of an advantage to have it running on the car than the standard ecu and has apparently already been set up to run the engine in a fez properly?

Megasquirt is a replacement ECU for a standard one, not a piggy back.

Its a very affordable version of any after market ECU such as Omex/Gotech/Pectel etc

Start from here:
http://www.megamanual.com/v22manual/mtabcon.htm

The most common tuning software for windows is known as "Megatune", but there are others for Unix, Palm, etc...
